Choice Based Credit System(CBSC)

We have interest in one subject but due to some circumstances we have to join in one course and we continue our life with out studying that course. We fell dry and Lazy to learn. But lifelong we feel that If I opt that course I think my life will be different. We don't have any ease and interest in that particular work.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has framed guidelines for adoption of Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for all undergraduate and postgraduate level degree, diploma and certificate programmes under the credit system awarded by Central, State and Deemed to be Universities. The CBCS will enable students to take courses of their choice, learn at their own pace, undergo additional courses and acquire more than the required credits, and adopt an interdisciplinary approach to learning. The CBCS guidelines also provide for standardized Letter Grades, corresponding Grade Points, uniform method for calculation of Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and a consolidated Transcript Format to indicate a student’s performance in each semester. The grading system is considered to be better than the conventional marks system and hence it has been followed in the top institutions in India and abroad. Adoption of grading system will facilitate seamless mobility of students across the institutions within and across countries and also enable employers to assess the performance of students. The UGC has circulated these guidelines to the Vice-Chancellors of all universities and requested them to introduce this system from the academic year 2015-16. The details of adoption of the guidelines are not centrally maintained in the UGC. The UGC has indicated in the guidelines that it is desirable that Higher Educational Institutions move to CBCS and implement the grading system.
This information was given by the Union Human Resource Development Minister, Smt. Smriti Irani in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha question.

According to the conference of state Education Ministers now we have a great opportunity to study any course in our favourite University. This is going to implement from next Academic year. This CBCS was unanimously accepted by all educational ministers. It was a wonderful tremendous change in todays education system. Regarding this any student can study any course in any university, your career selection in your hands, they can opt any subject in middle of the course and also can change the university with out any loss of academic year the duration of course is also desirable of student they can choose as they like. There is no any limit for studying the courses. This conference was held under human resource dept minister Smriti Irani. CBCS Semester and Grading System will be Implemented in Osmania University

These courses may help for promotions in their jobs some courses to their satisfaction and to know much information in their interested fields. To know more technology, technical skills which was used in their work. To solve some main problems they can from a group with all state Government leaders. They can study a part of course in one academic year and another part in another year, not only that they can change from one university to the other with in the country. B.Ed course is two years from now onwards. 

After twelfth they can study B.A , B.Ed integrated course with in  4 years this is mentioned by school education secretary Vrinda Saroop. Students those who wanted to become primary school teacher, they can join in the 2 year diploma courses. Yoga, Information and communication technology, CSC etc will be the topics going to include in those courses. 3 year integrated course B.Ed, M.Ed is also there. Our educational minister is very happy with above and said not only at PG level but also at degree level, our govt is ready to implement this credit system. There are no any defects in UGC planning but while performing they should rectify availing  problems. If not they will be failure like previous job based courses due to unlinked with industries.
