18th International Adventure Programme 2016 at Bharat Scouts & Guides, NAI, Pachmarhi

The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the National Scouting and Guiding association of India. The national headquarters of BSG is recognised by the Government of India. Circular No.99/2015;dated: 24th July, 2015; Subject: 18th  International Adventure Programme -02nd to 8th February 2016. We are very happy to inform you that the 18th International Adventure Programme will be held at the Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Adventure Institute, Pachmarhi. The details of the same are hereunder:

Name of the Event:18th International Adventure Programme

Venue: National Adventure Institute, Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, India

Dates: 2nd to 8th, Feb. 2016. (07 days)

Eligibility Criteria: 
Scouts / Guides / Rovers/ Rangers/ Unit Leaders/ Commissioners and other members of organization in between 12 to 45 years of age are eligible to apply.
Note: Participants from Railway States should apply through their State Association.

Youths of 12-45 ~ears of age who have attended National Adventure Programme at NAI.

Fitness: Physically and Mentally fit and be able to trek for 16-20 K.M.per day. B.P., Asthrna, Diabetes patients are not allowed

CAMP FEE: Rs. 3800.00 per head

REGISTRATION:
For the booking of the event, Rs.500/- per head should be sent as an advance by Demand Draft (SBI only) in favour of NATIONAL ADVENTURE INSTITUTE OF BHARAT SCOUTS & GUIDES, PACHMARHI payable at SBI, Pachmarhi Code No. 1046. The balance amount of Camp Fee i.e. @ Rs. 3300/- can be deposited either by cash or D.D. on arrival at campsite. Those who could not participate after registration in the International Adventure Programme, their money will not be adjustable/ refundable. Money Order, Postal Order or cheque will not be accepted. Fee includes expenses on food, event souvenirs, accommodation, medical assistance for the injury during the programme, equipment, and other training expenses during the programme.
Note: If booking fee (Rs.500/-) is not received, participants will not be admitted.


What to bring:
1. Please bring Malaria Test report (tested within a week before departure).
2. Application Form, Medical Certificate and Risk Certificate as per performs attached.
3. Xerox copy of certificate attended National Adventure Programme.
4. Personal kit:- Warm cloths, woolen shawl, sleeping bag, one blanket, complete and correct uniform(for Scouts and Guides only), , Bed sheet, Hunter Boots/sports shoes, chappals, two pairs of cotton socks, Rain coat, torch, Water proof sheet(6'x3'), Mug, Plate, Spoon, thread needle, spare buttons, Note Book, Pen, Pencil, First Aid Kit/personal medicine/cream etc. toilet kits, talcum powder, Water Bottle and spare garments.
5. Participants are requested to come prepared for every day's campfire and to present cultural items in groups. For the same, traditional costumes and other dresses related to the items have to be brought.
6. Two Stamp size photo has to be brought.

Time of Reporting: 02nd February 2016 before Lunch- Latecomers will not be admitted. Time of Relieving osm February 2016 after Lunch only-No one will be relieved before
lunch.

Special Note:
No doubt, you are physically fit, but you are advised to toughen up your leg muscles by road walk, running and skipping for at least a fortnight before reaching for Adventure Programme. While practicing, wear your same socks and shoes that you will be wearing for the programme Accommodation will be provided in the Tent only. No family members/children are allowed in the programme.

SAFETY:
We have gone through the entire schedule bit-by-bit, route planned with the help of expert mountaineers and trekkers, to keep· you safe and sound. Although every possible care of the participants will be taken, The National Adventure Institute, Bharat Scouts and Guides will not be responsible for any accident, loss, illness or other unforeseen events that may occur during the programme.


Weather:
During February, Pachmarhi will be cold and the temperature of the area will be around 6 to 18 degree. Hence sufficient warm cloths are to be brought accordingly.


How to reach:
PACHMARHI: Pachmarhi is known as Queen of Satpura, one of the hill stations in Madhya Pradesh, The nearest Railway station is PIPARIYA, which is one-hour journey from ltarsi Junction towards Jabalpur (about 3 hours journey from Jabalpur towards ltarsi) in ltarsi - Allahabad Railway line. The distance from Pipariya to Pachmarhi is 56 k.m. The bus stand at Pipariya is just outside the Pipariya Railway Station. Transport buses are available. Numbers of private jeeps are also available on nominal rate from Pachmarhi bus stand to our Institute, which is just 5 k.m. away from bus stand. From Bhopal to Pachmarhi, 6 hours journey by road.

Quota: Booking will be done on First come first basis.

All the states are requested that the applications with Medical Certificate and Risk Certificate, photo copy of National Adventure Programme Certificate along with booking fee of Rs.500/-should be sent directly to Assistant Director), The Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Adventure Institute, Pachmarhi-461881, M.P. on or before 30th November 2015.Late receipt of·application will not be entertained.

Participants must proceed only after getting the Selection Letters from National Adventure Institute.
