TS Vice-Chancellor/VC Posts 2015 NotificationTS VC Posts for State-run universities:The Telangana Government, Higher Education Department,Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has released the VC Posts 2015 Recruitment notification and inviting applications for the posts of vice-chancellors in nine State-run universities. According to the notification, applications were called for VC post in Osmania University, Hyderabad, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad, Satavahana University, Karimnagar, Telangana University, Nizamabad, Palamuru University, Mahbubnagar, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
The government has reduced experience criteria for appointment of vice-chancellor. Accordingly GO issued by the government revising University Grants Commission Scales of Pay, 2006.
According to the GO, the vice-chancellor to be appointed should be a distinguished academic with a minimum of five years experience as professor in a university system or five years experience in an equivalent position in a reputed research organisation or a distinguished person with proven administrative capabilities. Earlier, the minimum work experience as professor was 10 years.
The last date to apply with bio-data along with documentary evidence is on or before January 8. The eligible persons can apply to the Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department.

G.O.MS.No. 38 Dated: 19/12/2015-Higher Education Department - Selection of Vice-Chancellor - Amendment to the Revised U.G.C. Scales of Pay, 2006 - Notification - Orders - Issued.Reference: G.O.Ms.No.14, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, dt.20-02-2010.
ORDER: The following Notification will be published in the Telangana State Gazette:-
The following amendment is issued to the Revised U.G.C. Scales of Pay, 2006, issued vide G.O.Ms.No.14, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, dated:20-02-2010 and published in the A.P.Gazette No.10, Supplement to Part-I, dated: March 11, 2010.
AMENDMENTIn the said Revised U.G.C. Scales of Pay, 2006, under item (f), Selection of Vice-Chancellor, for para 4 (i), the following shall be substituted, namely,
“ i) Persons of the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment are to be appointed as Vice-Chancellors. The Vice-Chancellor to be appointed should be a distinguished Academic, with a minimum of 5 years experience as Professor in a University System or 5 years experience in an equivalent position in a Reputed Research Organization or a distinguished person with proven administrative capabilities”.
