Sub-Inspector of Police (SAR CPL):
Class III (Men) Category 1 – Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police (SAR CPL):
Recruitment Authority: Chairman, Telangana State Level  Police Recruitment Board
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years and should not be more than 25 years of age as on 1st July of the year in which the notification is issued.
a) Educational Qualification: Must possess a degree awarded by any university in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provisional Act of State or of any institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification as on 1st July of year of notification. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes must have passed Intermediate Examination conducted by the competent authority or such other qualification as may be considered equivalent by the State Government and should have studied Degree in any one of the Universities in India.

(b) Preliminary Written Test: Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in one paper (three hours duration) as given below. The syllabus for PWT paper will be from the Papers I and II of Annexure – II (except the syllabus of Personality test).

Note : 1) The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the Preliminary Written Test in the paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen. 2) Questions in the Paper will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose candidates should bring Blue / Black Ball Point pens along with them.


c) Physical Measurements: The candidates should meet the following requirements.
Height: Must not be less than 167.6 Centimeters.
Chest: Must not be less than 86.3 Centimeters round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 Centimeters.
Note : However, for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Aboriginal Tribes in the Agency areas of Mahaboobnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam should meet the following requirements:
i) Height: Must not be less than 160 Centimeters
ii) Chest: Must not be less than 80 Centimeters round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 Centimeters.

d) Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates declared qualified as above shall be required to qualify in all the five (5) events of the Physical Efficiency Test carrying 125 maximum marks as detailed below:

The candidates will be given grading for their performance in the different events in the Physical Efficiency Test on a scale of 100 points as shown below. The score will be converted to marks, by equating 100 points with 25 marks i.e., if an applicant has secured 60 points out of 100 points he will be given 15 marks out of 25 marks in the different events in the Physical Efficiency test.

e) Final Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the above shall be required to appear for the final written examination in four papers (each of three hours duration) as given below. The syllabus is given in Annexure II.

Note : 1) The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the final written examination in each paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen. 2) Questions in Papers I and II will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet using Blue / Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose candidates should bring Blue / Black Ball Point pens along with them. 3) Papers III and IV are only qualifying in nature. The cases of the candidates who do not secure the minimum qualifying marks in these papers will not be considered further in the selection process irrespective of their performance in papers I & II. The marks secured in these papers i.e., papers III and IV will not be taken into account for final selection. 4) Papers III and IV referred above will include questions that are subjective and objective in nature. They have to answer the questions using blue / black pen. 5) In Paper IV, the candidates can choose to have one of the languages i.e., either Telugu or Urdu and should indicate their choice as and when asked for. Option once exercised will be final and a candidate will not be allowed to change it subsequently.

f) Selection: The final selection of the candidates will be made strictly on relative merit, as obtained by them based on their score in the final written examination (Papers I and II) (for 200 marks) and Physical Efficiency Test (for 125 marks) totaling to 325 marks. The provision of “The Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organization of Local cadres and regulation of direct recruitment) Order, 1975”, the rule of reservation to local candidates is not applicable.

Police Constable 
Class III (Men) Category 2 – Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constable (SAR CPL):
Recruitment Authority: Chairman, Telangana State Level  Police Recruitment Board
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 22 years of age as on 1st July of the year in which the notification is issued.
a) Educational Qualification: Applicants for direct recruitment to the posts of police constables must have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination recognized by the State Government as on 1st July of the year of notification.
Provided that in case of the applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognized by the State Government and should have studied Intermediate and appeared for the Intermediate examinations of I year and II year as on 1st July of the year of notification.

b) Preliminary Written Test: Candidates shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in one paper (three hours duration) for 200 marks (200 questions). The syllabus is given in Annexure ­­III (except the syllabus of Personality test).

The candidates will be given grading for their performance in the different events in the Physical Efficiency Test on a scale of 100 points as shown below. e) Final Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the above shall be required to appear for the final written examination in one paper (three hours duration) for 100 marks (200 Questions). The syllabus is given in Annexure ­­III.
