As per the directives of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government, National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2017 will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Medical aspirants should gear up as the expected dates for NEET 2018 is out. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release NEET Application Form 2018 in January on the official website, cbseneet.nic.in.  Admissions which are based on NEET results will begin in deemed universities from July 10 and the results for the NEET are likely to be announced in the first week of June.

Important Dates:
1. NEET Exam 2018 (previously known as AIPMT) will be conducted on May 10, 2018
2. CBSE will release NEET UG 2018 Online Application Form in January 2018, last week
3. Closing of application fee payment facility will be in March 2018, first week
4. Last date to apply for NEET application form will be in March 2018, first week

Important guidelines:
1. Aadhaar card is a mandatory requirement for form submission, apart from being eligible for NEET exam
2. Mobile number and email ID entered during registration must be candidate's own or their parents
3. All official communications regarding the exam will be sent to these communication points

Age Limit  to apply for NEET 2018:
The minimum age required is 17 years (for all category) and maximum age limit is relaxed 5 years for the SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PH candidates as per the government rule.
The age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) 2018 is as follows:
For candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) born on or between 06.05.1994 and 01.01.2002, 25 years as on December 31, 2018.
For candidates of SC/ST/OBC category born on or between 06.05.1989 and 01.01.2002, maximum of 30 years as on December 31, 2018.

How to calculate your age for application:
You can calculate your age through online AGE CALCULATOR for NEET 2018. The age calculator gives your age as per your DOB and the date on which you want to calculate. Set the date December 31, 2018 for the date you want to calculate the age.



Maximum attempts for applying:
Maximum of three attempts will be counted from NEET 2017 entrance test. If the student has appeared in NEET 2017 then his/her attempt is counted as one, prior to NEET 2017 entrance test attempts are not counted.

Nationality criteria required:
1. NRI/ Foreign Students: A student from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG) 2018
2. Indian National: All the Indian Nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-UG 2018

Education qualification required:
1. The minimum qualification should be 12th (Senior Secondary) pass from the state board or from the recognized University. The subject in Class 12 must be Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English.
2. Students must have secured minimum 50 per cent marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45 per cent (for general PH) and 40per cent (for SC/ST/OBC categories)

NEET 2018 likely to be conducted in regional languages: In a sigh of relief to aspirants, Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry is expected to make a major announcement that the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) shall be conducted in regional languages from next year. Education News If done so, then NEET would be held in six vernacular languages - Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Assamese, Bengali and Gujarati.

CBSE NEET 2018: CBSE will publish the NEET (UG) notification and Online applications would be invited for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-(UG), 2018 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi for admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses in India in Medical/ Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The NEET exam will be conducted on May 10, 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm.

FEE DETAILS:
FOR GENERAL/OBC: Rs.1400/-
FOR SC/ST/PH: 750/-

Exam pattern:
1. The entrance test shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
2. The duration of test would be three hours

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2018 is applicable for admissions to the following:
i. All India Quota Seats.
ii. State Government Quota Seats where the State Government concerned so opts.
iii. Private/ Management/ NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University.

Language: The candidates can opt for question paper either in English or in Hindi.

Pattern of Test:
The NEET (UG) shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio technology at the qualifying examination.

Age limit:
The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December, 2018 of the year of his/ her admission.

Note: Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J &K are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. However, they are eligible to appear in NEET-II for admission in Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University and AFMC, Pune.


How to apply:
Candidates can apply for NEET-II “Online” only. No offline application will be entertained. Online submission of Application Form may be done by accessing Board’s website www.aipmt.nic.in. Instructions for Online submission of Application are available in the Information Bulletin and on the website www.aipmt.nic.in

~ Online submission of application may be made by accessing the Board’s website www.cbseneet.nic.in Instructions for submitting online application and payment of fee are available on website.
~ Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner:
 a. Through any Debit/Credit Card
 b. Net Banking/UPIor
 c. e-wallets of different service provider
