NEET PG 2017 for MD/MS, PG admissions, NEET PG Medical Entrance Test, PG National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, Online application form, how to apply, exam fee, admit cards, results, exam pattern and more details @ NEET PG Web Portal: NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956. NEET-PG is a single window entrance examination for PG courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f. 2017 admission session.



SCOPE OF NEET-PG 2017: NEET-PG 2017 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses’ for the academic session 2017 which will include the following:

  1. All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  2. State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  3. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
  4. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
  5. DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2017 Admission Session)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NEET-PG 2017:
Candidates in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from a Medical College/Institute duly recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, possessing either a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS or equivalent qualification issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the same on or before 31St March 2017 may apply for NEET-PG through online application system at www.nbe.edu.in

ADMIT CARD:
At the end of Registration & Scheduling process, the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgement at the registered email id of the applicant. Admit card will be issued to candidate once registration & scheduling process is successfully complete. When the admit card is received by email, it should be read carefully and all information mentioned should be verified. Candidate is required to print a copy of admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph of the following specifications on the admit card.

           
Specifications for Photograph –
A photograph of minimum 35x45 mm with at least 75% coverage of face & head of the candidate. 
A caption indicating name of candidate and date of taking photograph should be there at the bottom of photo.
Photograph should be taken in a white /very light colored background.
The photograph needs to display full front view of the face.  Please look directly into the camera with a neutral expression. 
Please avoid photograph with reflection or shadow on the face with red eyes.
The photograph needs to be printed on a high quality paper with at least 600 dpi Resolutions. 
The colors must possess the natural appearance and skin tone.
The photograph must not have kinks, scratches and stains. 

Candidate is required to bring the admit card to the Test centre along with an identification document as mentioned below.
Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:
(Unfair means case shall be registered against the candidates submitting false/ forged documents.)
Printed copy of the Admit Card with Photo of the candidate pasted on it Photocopy of Permanent and Provisional SMC/MCI registration*, to be retained by the test Centre AND
Any one of the authorized photo IDs** (must be original, valid and non-expired)
PAN card
Aadhaar Card (With photograph)
Driving License
Voter ID              
Passport
*Candidates who have obtained their Primary medical Qualification outside India and do not have SMC/MCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.
** The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit card. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage; candidate must show the relevant document at the time of exam.
Candidates are required to keep their admit card and photo identification at all times during the conduct of examination.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

  • Allocation of time for the NEET-PG 2017 shall be as follows:
    Forenoon Session Afternoon Session
    Candidate Entry Time at Reporting Counters 9:00 AM 2:45 PM
    Reporting Counter Entry Closes 9:30 AM 3:15 PM
    Check-in Procedure 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM 2:45 PM TO 3:45 PM
    Exam Start Time* 10:00 AM 3:45 PM
    Exam End  Time 1:45 PM 7:30 PM
    *Includes 15 min. of test tutorial. Kindly note that the candidates shall be allocated to appear either in FORENOON session or in the AFTERNOON session i.e. NEET-PG 2017 comprises of ONE session/candidate only.
  • Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. The syllabus shall be as per the latest Graduate Medical Education Regulations notified by the Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt. of India.   • The examination shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on computer based platform (CBT).
  • The exam comprises of 300 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3hr. 30 min. The weightage of MCQs in each specialty is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its right to alter/vary/amend the same.
  • Negative marking: There shall be no negative marking.

APPLYING FOR NEET-PG 2017:
Candidates can register for NEET-PG through online portal from 26th September to 7th November 2016. Candidates can choose the exam centre and date through online registration system on first come first serve basis. Admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID after successful completion of online registration and payment of fees.

EXAMINATION FEE:
General /OBC Candidates: Rs.3750/-
SC/ST/PWD/ (PH) Candidates : Rs 2750/-
The fee for the examination has to be remitted through payment gateway, at the time of online registration, using a credit card or debit card issued by Banks in India or through online banking.

Last date for online registration and scheduling for NEET-PG 2017 has been extended upto 7th November 2016 (till 23:59 Hrs).
