CBSE CTET December 2019 Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the 13th Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for candidates to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Class I to VIII. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi. The CBSE has issued Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) December 2019 Notification in the month of  August 2019. The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 08.12.2019. Candidates can apply only On-line for CTET December 2019 on CBSE/CTET website. CBSE invites online applications from the eligible candidates, who intend to be teachers to appear for CTET December 2019.

The last date for submitting online application has been extended till 30-09-2019 (Monday) and the fee can be paid upto 03-10-2019 (Thursday) till 15.30 PM. Online correction in particulars of application form will be available from 04-10-2019 (Friday) to 10-10-2019 (Thursday). No corrections shall be allowed under any circumstances after this date. 


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam dates for the 13th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). CTET December 2019 will be held on December 8, 2019. The application process for CTET December 2019 is due to begin next week when the board will also release a detailed information brochure for CTET 2019 exam. CTET is the minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher. December CTET 2019 will be conducted in 20 languages in 110 cities all over the country.

The online application process for CTET December 2019 will begin on August 19 and conclude on September 30, 2019. Candidates applying for CTET December 2019 will be able to submit application fee till 3:30 pm on 03-102019.

The CTET exam is conducted for two papers - Paper I is meant for Primary stage (for classes 1 to 5) teachers and Paper II is meant for Elementary stage (for classes 6 to 8) teachers. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for both papers can apply for both papers.

CBSE recently released the released for CTET July 2019. The CTET July 2019 result was released on July 30. 3.52 lakh candidates qualified in the CTET exam conducted in July. Out of these 2.15 lakh qualified in Paper -1, and 1.37 lakh qualified in Paper-2. The validity of CTET certificate is for seven years.

Eligibility for CTET:
A. Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).


CTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria Modified: CTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria has been modified by the CBSE upon receiving clarification from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). A Corrigendum has been released on the official website of Central Teacher Eligibility Test - ctet.nic.in, stating the modified Point 6.1 of the Information Bulletin of CTET-2019.


CBSE is scheduled to organize the 11th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. CTET 2019 in two slots viz Paper-II – 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and Paper-I – 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, for candidates aspiring to serve as teachers for Class I to VIII in schools that come under the purview of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UTs of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi..

B. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).


Examination Pattern of CTET:
The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s). There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Fee Details for CTET:
For General/ OBC Category: Rs.600/- for Paper – I or II and Rs.1000/- for Paper – I & II.
For SC/ ST/ Differently Abled Person Category: Rs.300/- for Paper – I or II and Rs.500/- for Paper – I & II.


How to Apply for CTET:
Candidates can apply online only. Candidates are required to take a print out of the Computer-generated Confirmation Page after successful submission of data, which has to be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, and also with original CBSE copy of challan (If fees paid through Challan)
