NEET UG 2018: NEET UG 2018 notification released at cbseneet.nic.in, upper age remains 25. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2018. The exam was conducted on Sunday, May 6 and the last date to submit the application form is March 12. The exam will be conducted in Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. NEET UG is conducted for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India in medical/dental colleges run with the approval of the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India.

Classification of seats
- All India Quota Seats
- State Government Quota Seats
- State/Management/NRI quota seats in private medical/dental colleges or any private/deemed university central pool quota seats.

Important Dates:
1. NEET Exam 2018 (previously known as AIPMT) will be conducted on May 06, 2018
2. CBSE will release NEET UG 2018 Online Application Form : 08-02-0218
3. Closing of application fee payment facility will be on March 13, 2018
4. Last date to apply for NEET application form will be on March 12, 2018

Important guidelines:
1. Aadhaar card is a mandatory requirement for form submission, apart from being eligible for NEET exam
2. Mobile number and email ID entered during registration must be candidate's own or their parents
3. All official communications regarding the exam will be sent to these communication points

Age Limit  to apply for NEET 2018:
Age limit: Like the previous year, the Medical Council of India has kept the criteria same. The candidate’s age has to be over 17 years and less than or 25 years. There is five years relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC category students. There have been massive protests by the medical aspirants regarding this criteria last year, however, the exam authority has kept the criteria same.
The minimum age required is 17 years (for all category) and maximum age limit is relaxed 5 years for the SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PH candidates as per the government rule.
The age criteria for appearing in NEET (UG) 2018 is as follows:
For candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) born on or between 06.05.1994 and 01.01.2002, 25 years as on December 31, 2018.
For candidates of SC/ST/OBC category born on or between 06.05.1989 and 01.01.2002, maximum of 30 years as on December 31, 2018.

How to calculate your age for application:
You can calculate your age through online AGE CALCULATOR for NEET 2018. The age calculator gives your age as per your DOB and the date on which you want to calculate. Set the date December 31, 2018 for the date you want to calculate the age.



Maximum attempts for applying:
Maximum of three attempts will be counted from NEET 2017 entrance test. If the student has appeared in NEET 2017 then his/her attempt is counted as one, prior to NEET 2017 entrance test attempts are not counted.

Nationality criteria required:
1. NRI/ Foreign Students: A student from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals are eligible to appear in NEET (UG) 2018
2. Indian National: All the Indian Nationals are eligible to appear for NEET-UG 2018

Education qualification required:
Educational qualification: Aspirants should have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with physics, chemistry, biology/bio-technology and English individually. Moreover, they must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, chemistry and biology/bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
1. The minimum qualification should be 12th (Senior Secondary) pass from the state board or from the recognized University. The subject in Class 12 must be Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology or any other elective subject with English.
2. Students must have secured minimum 50 per cent marks in PCB group for general candidates and 45 per cent (for general PH) and 40per cent (for SC/ST/OBC categories)

NEET 2018 likely to be conducted in regional languages: In a sigh of relief to aspirants, Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry is expected to make a major announcement that the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) shall be conducted in regional languages from next year. Education News If done so, then NEET would be held in six vernacular languages - Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Assamese, Bengali and Gujarati.

CBSE NEET 2018: CBSE will publish the NEET (UG) notification and Online applications would be invited for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-(UG), 2018 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi for admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses in India in Medical/ Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The NEET exam will be conducted on May 10, 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm.

FEE DETAILS:
NEET 2018 application form fees for general category and OBC is Rs 1500 while for reserved category students have to pay Rs 750.
FOR GENERAL/OBC: Rs.1400/-
FOR SC/ST/PH: 750/-

Exam pattern:
There will be one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with a single correct answer) from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). The duration of paper would be three hours from 10 am to 1 pm. Since last year, CBSE made Aadhaar card mandatory for registration. This is, however, not applicable in Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and Meghalaya. For NRIs, passport number is required for the same.
1. The entrance test shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
2. The duration of test would be three hours

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2018 is applicable for admissions to the following:
i. All India Quota Seats.
ii. State Government Quota Seats where the State Government concerned so opts.
iii. Private/ Management/ NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University.

Language: The candidates can opt for question paper either in English or in Hindi.

Pattern of Test:
The NEET (UG) shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.

NEET question paper will be same for all states:
With a lot of controversies and protests across India over the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 question paper this year, the Union Human Resource Development minister Prakash Javadekar has said vernacular question papers for the NEET will be mere translation of the question paper in English.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio technology at the qualifying examination.

Age limit:
The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December, 2018 of the year of his/ her admission.

Candidates can apply for NEET-II “Online” only. No offline application will be entertained. Online submission of Application Form may be done by accessing Board’s website www.aipmt.nic.in. Spte 1 : ~ Candidates can apply ONLY ONLINE.

Spte 3 : ~  Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner:
 a. Through any Debit/Credit Card
 b. Net Banking/UPIor
 c. e-wallets of different service provider
