NEET 2018: National Board of Examinations (NBE) will conduct NEET 2018 on January 7. In a notification released on the official website –, the board has announced that the registration process will begin on October 31. The last date to submit the applications is by November 27, 2017. NEET 2018 results will be announced on January 31. Medical aspirants applying for the exam need to have Aadhaar card/ registration number NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to postgraduate medical courses (MD/ MS and PG Diploma courses).

NEET PG Results 2018: National Board of Examinations (NBE) has declared the NEET- PG 2018 results on the official website of the board. The result of NEET-PG 2018 indicating the score obtained by the candidates has been declared and can be seen at NBE website According to NBE, the merit position of the candidates will be declared in due course after applying the tie-breaker criteria as given in the information bulletin for NEET-PG 2018. "It is hereby clarified that the result of NEET-PG 2018 shall be declared by NBE solely on the basis of performance of the candidates on the examination day," it said then. It also told candidates to not to get misled by any false or bogus claims regarding obtaining a rank in NEET-PG 2018. "The allotment of PG seats pursuant to declaration of NEET-PG 2018 result shall be done by respective government authority as indicated in the Information Bulletin.

Eligibility criteria:
Education: Only those candidates can apply who have an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognised college. He/ She should possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
Candidate should also have completed one year of internship or are expected to complete the internship on or before March 31, 2018.

Registration fees: For general category and OBC, it is Rs 3,750 while for SC/ST/ PWD/ PH, it is Rs 2,750.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will comprise of 300 multiple choice questions from the MBBS curriculum followed at medical colleges in India. The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India

SCOPE OF NEET-PG 2018: NEET-PG 2018 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses’ for the academic session 2018 which will include the following:

  1. All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  2. State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
  3. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
  4. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
  5. DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2018 Admission Session)

Candidates in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from a Medical College/Institute duly recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, possessing either a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS or equivalent qualification issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the same on or before 31St March 2018 may apply for NEET-PG through online application system at

NEET PG Medical Entrance Test 2018 Admit Card:
At the end of Registration & Scheduling process, the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgement at the registered email id of the applicant. Admit card will be issued to candidate once registration & scheduling process is successfully complete. When the admit card is received by email, it should be read carefully and all information mentioned should be verified. Candidate is required to print a copy of admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph of the following specifications on the admit card.

Candidates are required to paste their latest photograph on the Admit Card to be able to get a hassle free entry on the exam day. National Board of Education, NBE has released the admit cards for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET PG 2017. The notification was released on December 31, 2017 and the admit cards were made available from January 1, 2018. Specifications for Photograph –
A photograph of minimum 35x45 mm with at least 75% coverage of face & head of the candidate. 
A caption indicating name of candidate and date of taking photograph should be there at the bottom of photo.
Photograph should be taken in a white /very light colored background.
The photograph needs to display full front view of the face.  Please look directly into the camera with a neutral expression. 
Please avoid photograph with reflection or shadow on the face with red eyes.
The photograph needs to be printed on a high quality paper with at least 600 dpi Resolutions. 
The colors must possess the natural appearance and skin tone.
The photograph must not have kinks, scratches and stains. 

Candidate is required to bring the admit card to the Test centre along with an identification document as mentioned below.
Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:
(Unfair means case shall be registered against the candidates submitting false/ forged documents.)

*Candidates who have obtained their Primary medical Qualification outside India and do not have SMC/MCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.
** The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit card. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage; candidate must show the relevant document at the time of exam.
Candidates are required to keep their admit card and photo identification at all times during the conduct of examination.

  • The examination shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on computer based platform (CBT).
  • The exam comprises of 300 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3hr. 30 min. The weightage of MCQs in each specialty is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its right to alter/vary/amend the same.
  • Negative marking: There shall be no negative marking.

Candidates can register for NEET-PG through online portal from 31st October to 27th November. Candidates can choose the exam centre and date through online registration system on first come first serve basis. Admit card will be sent to the candidates on their registered email ID after successful completion of online registration and payment of fees.

The fee for the examination has to be remitted through payment gateway, at the time of online registration, using a credit card or debit card issued by Banks in India or through online banking.
