How to check: CAT Results 2019
Step 1: Visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the CAT 2019 result link

Step 3: Enter your log in details

Step 4: On submitting the same, the results will be displayed on the screen

Step 5: Download and take print out of the same for future use.
Note: The CAT 2019 score will be valid till December 31, 2019.

CAT 2019 exam: CAT 2019 examination was conducted on Sunday, November 24 at test centres spread across 153 cities. This year, over 2 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam at various centres across the country.

CAT 2019 scores to be accepted by JNU: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has recently announced that the scores of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 will be accepted by the varsity from its July 2019 session. The programme will be offered through the newly-announced School of Management and Entrepreneurship.

Selection procedure of CAT 2019: The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round. All the selected candidates will get admission in around 20 IIM institutes established in various parts of the nation.




Normalisation of CAT scores: In order to ensure fairness and equity in comparison of performances of the candidates across different test sessions, the scores of the candidates shall be subjected to a process of 'Normalisation'. The 'Normalisation' process shall adjust for location and scale differences of score distributions across different forms. After normalisation across different forms, the scores shall be further normalised across different sections. Admission to the two year post graduate programmes in IIMs are on merit, based on a rigorous selection process comprising of Personal Interview, Written Ability Test/Group Discussions, and scores in the Common Admission Test which is commonly known as CAT. CAT is a management aptitude test conducted by the IIMs primarily to evaluate and shortlist candidates for the post graduate programme. It is a computer-based exam and a candidate has to register and apply following due process to take this exam conducted once a year.
