NCERT Stage I State Level NTSE Exam 2019, National Talent Search Exam Date: November 3: NCERT, National Council of Educational Research and Training has issued the NTSE 2019 Stage I State level notification and online applications are invited from the eligible students from various states in India for appearing National Talent Search Exam(NTSE) 2019 which will be held on 03-11-2019 for getting the Scholarships.

The National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X is meant to identify the nurture talent. The examination is conducted every year at two levels: Stage I (State Level) and Stage II (National Level).

Eligibility: All students of Class X studying in recognized schools arc eligible to appear for the Stage-I examination, conducted by the Statcs/UTs, in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction. Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on lei July of the particular year), the student is not employed and s/he is appearing in class X examination for the first time.

Eligibility Criteria for Stage-I:
*NTSE Stage-I is conducted by State/UT bodies. Only Indian students are eligible to appear in this level.
*The students studying in Class X are eligible for appearing in the test.
*They are required to have obtained 60% marks in their Class IX, in the last academic year.
*Student must be studying in a recognized school in the respective State or Union Territory.
*The SC, ST and PH category candidates get a relaxation of 5% and the maximum score they must have obtained in their Class IX is 55% marks.
*Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) are also considered eligible for the scholarship examination, if he/she is below the age of 18 years (as on July 1, of the year) and is not employed while appearing for Class X exam.


National Talent Search Scholarship (NTSS) Amount: 
About two thousand scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:
a) Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.
b) Scholarship of ks.2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates.
c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

Stage I AP NTSE : AP State Level NTSE Exam 2019

Reservation for NTSE:
At the national level for Stage-II Examination 15% for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% for students belonging to the ST category and 27% for students belonging to 0130 category (Non-creamy layer) as per central list available on www.nebe.nic.in/, 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (liWSs) those who have not covered under the reservation scheme for SCs/STs/013Cs, 4% for Children with benchmark disabilities of which, one per cent each shall be reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (a), (b) and (c) and one per cent for persons with benchmark disabilities under clauses (d) and (e) namely:
(a) blindness and low vision; (BIN)
(b) deaf and hard of hearing; (MI)
(c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims.and muscular dystrophy; (LI))
(d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (AID) (c) multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities' (MD)

Stage I TS NTSE : TS State Level NTSE Exam 2019

Selection: Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs and those who are selected/recommended from Stage-I examination, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT.

Qualifying Marks: Qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST/P1I category is 32% in each paper and for others (General/013C & EWS) categories it is 40% in each paper.

NTSE Exam Pattern:
The pattern of written examination will be as follows: Stage-I & II examination at the State/UT level will comprise of two papers..
Paper-l : Mental Ability Test(MAT) | 100 Questions 100 Marks  120 minutes
Paper II : Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) | 100 Questions 100 Marks  120 minutes
If there is any y cleaner in pattern for Stage-II examination then the same will be communicated
later on through NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in. Candidates are advised to keep track of updates on NCE RT website.
There will be no negative marking in Stage-II examination.


Stage II NCERT NTSE : National Level NTSE Exam 2019


NTSE Online Application Form: 
You may contact the State/UT Liaison officer for procuring application form.
The completed application form should be signed by the Principal of the school much before the last date of submission. The candidate as well as the Principal of the school must adhere to the last date for submission of the Application Form. Different states may have different last dates for submission. Please confirm from the Liaison Officer of your state, the address at which the completed forms are to be submitted. ‘The address and contact number of the Liaison Officer of the States/UTs are available (State-wise) in the NCERT website www.ncert.nic.in. All queries related to application form should be directed to the State Liaison Officers (LOs). No application should be sent to NCERT.

NTSE Exam Fees: States and Union Territories may notify the fee required which will be paid for the Stage-I examination. Therefore, before submitting the application form, you may find out the fees charged for Stage-I Examination and also the mode of payment from the respective State Liaison Officers (LOs). However, NCERT does not charge any fee for Stage-II examination.

Dates for submission of application form and conduct of examination, are given below:
Stage-I (State Level) NTSE Important Dates
1. Last Date for Submission of Application Form : To be notified by the respective State and it may vary from state to state
2. Examination in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands : 2nd November 2019 (Saturday)
3. Examination in All other States and Union Territories except above & below mentioned 9 States/UTs: 3rd November 2019 (Sunday)
4. Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, NUT of Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir: 17th November 2019 (Sunday)
Stage-II (National Level) NTSE Exam Date:
1. Examination in All States and Union Territories : 10th May 2020 (Sunday)

Indian Students Studying Abroad in Class X can appear directly for Stage 11 NTS Examination under conditions prescribed in the NTS brochure, which is available on the NCERT website. Candidates may fill up the Application Form, available on the NCERT website and send to the undersigned along with a photocopy of the mark shect of previous examination, latest by December 31st, 2019. Application Form for students studying abroad will be uploaded on NCERT website in the month of October, 2019. Announcement for students of Indian nationality studying abroad will be announced separately.
