The AP State Eligibility Test(APSET) notification has been released on 22-06-2016 by AU. AP SET 2016 for recruitment as Assistant Professors or Lecturer in various University / Degree Colleges/ Institutions of Higher Education in Andhra Pradesh. SET is mandatory for lectureship in colleges and universities in the state. Those who have qualified in the National Eligibility Test(NET) conducted by UGC need not take it. Both government and private institutions consider the SET score while recruiting faculty.

APSET-2016 CERTIFICATION FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
The Certificate verification for the APSET-2016 qualified candidates will be conducted at the
following Four Centres from 9-11-2016 to 12-11-2016.

1. VISAKHAPATNAM (Candidates who have written APSET-2016 examination at Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry Regional Centres)
2. GUNTUR
3. ANANTAPUR
4. TIRUPATI (Candidates who have written APSET-2016 examination at Tirupati and Nellore Regional Centres)

Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2016) for the Year 2016 will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.47 Higher Education (CE) Dept  dated:  02-12-2015  for  recruitment  and  promotions  of  Lectures/Assistant  Professors  in Degree Colleges as per the University Grant Commission Regulations for the year 2016.

The University is inviting the online applications from eligible candidates to appear for The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2016. No upper age limit for APSET 2016. A candidate can avail any number of chances.

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidates should have a Masters Degree from a University Grants Commission recognized university with minimum 55 per cent marks for General / Backward Class candidates and 50 percent marks for SC / ST / PH / VH. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of their Post Graduate examination may also appear in this examination. 

AP SET 2016 Scheme of Exam:
The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2016 will be conducted in objective mode. The AP SET test will consist of 3 papers. All the three papers will consist of multiple choice questions and will be held on the day of examination in two separate sessions.

AP SET 2016 Syllabus:
APSET 2016 Question paper for paper -I is common for all subjects in which SET is conducted and it will be bi-lingual. Paper -II and Paper- III of certain subjects will also be bi-lingual and details will be provided soon here.

Registration fee for APSET 2016:
Eligible Candidates who wish to apply for APSET-2016 may submit their applications through online mode. The registration fee of Rs 1000/-(for General Category), Rs 800/-(for B.C. category) and Rs.  500/-(for  SC/ST/PH/VH  category)  may  paid  towards  the  application  registration  and processing fee through payment gateway (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking ) the detailed information regarding the eligibility, Syllabus and model question paper, test centers, related instructions, fees for late submissions and procedures for online submission of application are available on the websites  www.andhrauniversity.edu.in and  www.apset.net.in.

APSET – 2016 Document Check List

  1. For certificate verification the following original certificates are to be produced in person.
  2. S.S.C/ Equivalent certificate in proof of Date of Birth
  3. P.G.Pass certificate (Provisional /Original Degree(OD) Certificate)
  4. Note: Candidates who are studying PG final year are to be produced a Study Certificate from the Head of the Institution
  5. PG Marks Statements of all Semesters
  6. Latest Caste Certificate
  7. Physically Handicapped Certificate (for PWD Candidates).
  8. All PWD Candidiates have to attend certificate verification on 12-11-2016 at 10 A.M.

    1. Yes You can very well apply for PHD if you qualify APSET. But you can pursue only in Andhra Pradesh. If you want India wide then you have to clear NET.From Shyam Reddy http://readwritelistenspeak.com

    apset qualified candidate is eligible to apply for respective subject PhD entrance exam, priority is given during the PhD admission for set qualified candidates with in the andhra pradesh state universities for seven years.

    1. DEAR BRO,,APSET candidate could apply for phd in any central university overseas the concerned state.apart from this he may apply for assistant professor lecturership in any central university in india...but if u r from AP then u will get more preference in terms of AP university...
